Channel Branding
Overview
Create a new channel animation for the YouTube channel Abroad in Japan. Abroad in Japan is a Japanese vlogger who talks about Japan. He has a British TV feel to his videos, with a lot of sarcastic jokes in his videos.
My goal is to enhance his videos with better ways to grow his channel and brand. People interested in visiting Japan.Better showcase that his channel is a Japanese channel at first glance with better Japanese graphic styles.
Approach
For design style, I decided to stick to the channel's original colour palette and instead include more graphical elements that are more recognisable from Japanese design.
I went with a college-style animation as I wanted to inject some Western themes into my work to further bring out that the main presenter from the channel, Chris Broad, came from England.
